Dead Pedal went through Greenlight and its time to look back at what could have done better.
While the team had amazing dynamics, but when stuff really started to get stressful towards the last few weeks one could notice where problems could form. firstly our product own was extremely happy to take one work, but when it came to doing the work that was another issue entirely. He had minor bugs or simple fixes on his todo list for weeks and the week before greenlight he was rushing to complete them as well as get the trailer done. this led to a lot of small problems being left in the build and a trailer that did not have as much time put into it as one would want. as we move into a new semester the team will have to keep in mind to only take on the work that they have the time to do. I will also have to keep in mind that these issues are things I can bring up to the team instead of just leaving these annoyances to fester.
Another issue came from our massive day long planning meeting. It was really great at the time but looking back we got too ahead of ourselves when it came to designing the game and led to some aspects being over designed and ending up scrapped. Next semester we will need to take account of what we actually need to do for the game before thinking about how to make the game cooler.
