12 weeks went by fast, and I cannot believe the amount of progress on this game. the team has been the best I have worked with at Champlain so farm everyone gets the game and works well together so there is little to no major conflicts. Each team member is also very hard working; when a task gets given at the beginning of a sprint it is getting completed, which has made long term planning work very well.

Compared to a lot of the other games I have worked on at Champlain Dead Pedal’s current build is closest to our originally planned minimum viable product. and the things we took out just make next semester even more promising if we move through. I would love to be able to add the customization elements we originally planned into the game. I also really appreciate how systems focused the whole team is, it really ensured that the game had an excellent ground work before we even started thinking about adding a narrative or some of the other more frivolous aspects of the game. That had been a problem on previous teams but Thomas and Michael made sure we were only thinking about systems. even up through last week the team made sure that bugs were fixed and the game build ran well before we started planning our more fun aspects of the presentation.

With all that being said I don’t have many worries or concerns. Even if we don’t move through Dead Pedal will become the coolest thing on my portfolio, and all the work I did on dynamic audio and adaptive music will look great to recruiters. and for myself I’m super proud to have gotten to where I am with the limited tutorials and resources for Wwise and Unreal 5.
